Acoustic study and report
In short. An acoustic report brings together the measurement, the calculation of the expected reverberation time after installation, and advice on the solution, quantity and placement. The report is tailored to the question: a short memo for a classroom, an in-depth study for a complex project.
What a report contains
The current situation
Measured reverberation time per frequency band.
The target
The desired reverberation time for how the space is used, checked against the standards that apply in your situation. We look these up for you: for schools, the AGION standards (Flemish government) and the Belgian standard NBN S 01-400-2; for offices, hospitality, healthcare and other non-residential buildings, the Belgian standard NBN S 01-400-3 (since June 2026), supplemented by the German standard DIN 18041 where necessary.
The calculation
Expected reverberation time after installation, with a tolerance range.
The advice
Which solution, how much, where and how it is fixed.
Optional
Follow-up measurement after installation.
The right calculation method
We choose the calculation method that suits the space. For most spaces a classic calculation is sufficient; for complex spaces – with an unusual shape or height, or open connections – we use other methods. A calculation is always an approximation, which is why we show a tolerance range.
How to read the graph
Red line: the measured reverberation time, the current situation. Green line: the calculated reverberation time after installing the proposed products. Green area: tolerance range around the calculation. Grey line: the follow-up measurement after installation, if you have one carried out.
