Acoustic panels
In short. Acoustic panels are sound-absorbing panels for walls or ceilings. They shorten the reverberation, so conversations become intelligible and a space feels calmer.

How they work
Sound enters the panel and, instead of bouncing back, is converted in the core into a tiny amount of heat. The better the core and the more open the finish, the more sound the panel absorbs.
Why not every panel works
Thin felt sheets, wooden slat panels or decorative wall panels look acoustic, but absorb little. The difference lies in the core and the build-up.
Who they are (and aren't) for
Suitable for: offices, meeting rooms, restaurants, classrooms, waiting rooms, homes. We include sound leaks between rooms in our advice; for noise from neighbours or heavy-duty soundproofing, we refer you to a soundproofing specialist.
How many panels?
As a rule of thumb, we use about 1 m² of Stillr panel per 4 m² of room, a ratio that has proven itself in many previous projects. For large or complex spaces, we calculate the right quantity.

Frequently asked questions
Do panels work against noise from neighbours?
No. They reduce the echo in your room, but they don't stop sound travelling between rooms.
Can I install them myself?
Yes, you can. Our panels are easy to install thanks to their flexible mounting systems. During a demo, we can assess together whether the installation is simple enough to do yourself. S-panels are always installed by us.
