M and L panels – reverberation control in offices and meeting rooms.
In short. In an office, meetings, phone calls and concentration have to coexist. Without enough absorption, sound carries far and a meeting room sounds hollow, including for those joining by video.

Open-plan offices often combine different functions – a busy zone for meetings and phone calls and a quiet zone for focused work – without any acoustic separation between them. Without enough sound absorption, conversations and phone calls from the busy zone carry over into the focus zone. This leads to less privacy, reduced concentration, more fatigue and lower productivity.
Meeting rooms are typically smaller, enclosed spaces where people talk and meet with focus, often via video conferencing as well. Insufficient sound absorption leads to a higher reverberation time and strong sound reflections more quickly there than in larger spaces. This reduces speech intelligibility and causes listening fatigue for those present. External participants in a video conference are affected too: microphones pick up the reverberation, resulting in a hollow or diffuse voice.
